Working together with the companies Wipf and säntis packaging, Optima has developed a completely recyclable capsule system. It features a single-material capsule with recyclable lid film and a compatible packaging system. This development means that the partner companies are promoting a sustainable recycling economy from production and use, through to recycling of the packaging.

Optima has developed a new software application called "Remote Assist". The program puts the company in contact with customers and, together with the operating staff, solves any challenges that may arise directly with the machine and in real time. OPTIMA Supporting Catalent with New High-Speed Vial Filling Line for COVID-19 Vaccine Program

Optima Group welcomes Catalent’s recent announcement that it has signed an agreement with a major global pharmaceutical company to accelerate availability of manufacturing capacity and prepare for large-scale commercial manufacturing of a lead vaccine candidate for COVID-19 at Catalent’s facility in Bloomington, Indiana. Scale-up in production will include the use of an Optima high-speed vial filling line.

Microdosing at its finest

A range of test formats are used in diagnostics to detect acute infection and prevent the uncontrolled spread of the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen. At the Marburg site, Siemens Healthineers have recently started a very high quality PCR test on an OPTIMA ImmuFill®. This machine achieves high precision reagent dosing into containers from a dosing volume of 50 µl upwards, and these are then closed and labelled.
